What We Believe

Grace Alone

God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebellious and undeserving.  He sent Jesus, His son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

Faith Alone

By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them.  Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.

Scripture Alone

The Bible is God’s error free Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Church membership is an expression of your Christian faith.  It’s not something that we dictate to you but rather it’s an outpouring of your own love for the Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit.  In the spirit of Jesus who called us to follow Him and become like Him we invite you to be part of Trinity Lutheran Church.

ABOUT THE SACRAMENTS

We believe that God uses a “delivery system” to bring His kindness and love to us. Besides the spoken and written Word of God, God comes to us in Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe that through the waters of Baptism, God forgives us our sin and adopts us as His own. Through Baptism, God gives the gift of new life. We affirm the baptism of infants. We believe that in Holy Communion Jesus is really present with His body and blood in the bread and wine. In Holy Communion Jesus brings us forgiveness of sin and the promise of life and salvation. (Rom. 6:1-11; I Cor. 11:17-34; Matt. 26:26-29; John 6:48-58)
