Meet Our Staff
Hi! I've been privileged to be here since the fall of 2017, and serving as a pastor for longer than that! I'm joyfully married to Jen and we have three blessed children of various ages: Ben, Asher, and Lydia.
I've received a lot of education over the years and love to learn. Probably the greatest learning, I've discovered over the years, is from experiences. Experiences as a husband, a parent, a teacher, a preacher, a minister of the Gospel, and most especially, experiences with the Word of God.
Our Lord invites you into this experiential life of walking in the footsteps of His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and by His gracious gift of forgiveness and salvation, discovering a rising life in Him. Pastor Levi Willms grew up in various cities in Iowa before graduating from high school in Britt, Iowa, in 1998. From there he went to Iowa State University with plans to become a veterinarian. Throughout his years at Iowa State, and after work with campus ministry and work as a counselor for several summers at various Christian summer camps, God drew his heart toward full-time ministry. Levi met his wife Jessica during his last semester at Iowa State before heading to seminary in St. Louis. The two were married in June of 2004, right before Levi’s vicarage in Des Moines, IA. After that year in Des Moines and a final year at seminary, Levi graduated from Concordia Seminary in 2006 (with Pastor Dave) and received his first call to Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre, SD. The couple lived there for four and a half years, welcoming two children, Adalyn (2007) and Carsten (2009). In 2011, Levi accepted a call to Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, WI, where he served until Nov. 2018. Levi and Jessica were blessed with three more children during their time in Kaukauna, Clara (2011), Elise (2014), and Caleb, who was welcomed home from China in April 2018. Levi served as Associate Pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Yankton, SD from December 2018 to May 2023 and now comes to Trinity to serve as Associate Pastor here. Levi enjoys spending time with his family, especially in being outdoors, camping, and cheering on the Packers together.
Daniel has been with Trinity since 1991. He graduated from Concordia University, Saint Paul, in 1988 with a BS degree; double majoring in Director of Parish Music, organ emphasis, and Elementary Education. He served as 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teacher and Music Director/Organist at St. John’s Lutheran church in Beardstown, IL from 1988-1991. He accepted a call to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids, MN in 1991 and served as 3rd grade teacher from 1991-1999 and Music Director/Organist from 1991-present. He has been involved with the Sanctuary Choir and Celebration Ringers in various capacities and served as church organist though out the past 29 years. His love for hymnody means every Sunday he gets to play one of his “favorite” hymns! He also serves as Senior Design Consultant/Sales at Becker Furniture World where he has been employed since 1999.
Ruth graduated with a BS in Education and a concentration in music from Concordia University, Seward NE in 1989. She and her husband Ron live near Little Falls and have two children (Mackenzie and Elliott) and one grandson (Ethan). Ruth teaches K-8 music at Prince of Peace Lutheran School and also gives private piano lessons. She directs the Celebration Ringers, the Sanctuary Choir and leads the contemporary worship teams at Trinity.
Judy has been serving in the office at Trinity since 2013. She is married to Tim, Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and has served with him in the ministry for over 40 years of marriage. She has 3 wonderful children and 6 amazing grandchildren. Judy also teaches piano and voice lessons when she is not in the church office. Trinity has been a blessing in her life and she looks forward to years of service with all of you!
